Description
Chlorine is the most popular sanitiser for spa water due to its cost-effectiveness and ability to eliminate harmful bacteria and viruses while enhancing water clarity and colour.
Use spa-specific chlorine, as pool chlorine can be too harsh. Available in powder form, it allows for easy dosing. This fast-dissolving, small granular, de-dusted chlorine is ideal for routine spa sanitation without leaving residue. When adding chlorine, run the jets and keep the cover off for at least 15 minutes to protect headrests and covers.
A guideline is one teaspoon per user per use. Regular testing with spa test strips ensures free chlorine levels stay between 1-3 ppm. Ozone or UV systems can reduce chlorine demand.
